World Cancer Day

Once a year, the world comes together to celebrate the lives saved from cancer. This world wide initiative is led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) of which PJSC is a member of. Such a campaign is made possible through promoting early detection, providing comprehensive treatment that is accessible to all and robust campaigns that pushes everyone to be ever vigilant in the fight against cancer. Thus, World Cancer Day, celebrated every 4th of February every year aims to raise awareness, rally support, promote positive action and ultimately saving lives and avoiding preventable deaths.

As the nation’s cancer centre, The Brunei Cancer Centre (TBCC) of Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC) works closely with other government and non-government organizations to fight cancer either towards providing the best of care and treatment for cancer patients or through early detection and cancer preventions activities and awareness campaigns.

Every year, PJSC organizes Campaigns around World Cancer Day and invites stakeholders across the government and non-government organizations to partake in shouldering the responsibility of tackling the cancer burden in Brunei.
