Surah Yassin and Tahlil recitations organised by PJSC Medical Social Work Department

PJSC Medical Social Work Department had organised a heartfelt event at Masjid Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, Kampong Jerudong on 22nd March 2024 in conjunction with the World Social Work Day 2024. This year’s theme, “Buen Vivir: Shared Future for Transformative Change,” highlights the importance of collective well-being for positive societal shifts.

The event featured Surah Yassin and Tahlil recitations, followed by Doa Kesyukuran led by Imam Muhd Amaluddin bin Haji Jamaluddin, and donations handover to 17 orphans from PJSC patients. Certificates were also awarded to 10 patients for their participation in the therapeutic group activities organised by BNSRC Rehabilitation Department.

Guest of Honour, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health and CHairman of PJSC and Yang Mulia Dr Haji Mazrul Adimin bin Haji Awang Besar, Executive Director of PJSC, graced the occasion. The event concluded with a meaningful reminder ‘tazkirah’ from Ustaz Haji Iskhandar bin Haji Buntar, PJSC Head of Religious Officer, followed by the breaking of fast “Majlis Bersungkai”.

The event serves as a tribute to the global community of social workers and highlighted PJSC’s commitment to fostering compassion and support within society.
