In conjunction with World Social Work Day 2023, the Medical Social Work Department of Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC) held a forum titled “Respecting Diversity Through Joint Social Action”.
The forum featured panelists whose profession involved in dealing with social problems in the community such as Tuan Hj Ali Yusri Bin Hj Ali Ghafor, Counselor and Motivator, Nur Arifarina Binti Hj Rosli, Social Worker from The Community Development Department (JAPEM), Ustaz Muhd Yusuf Bin Hj Abdul Majid, Mental Health Advocates from Ministry of Religious Affairs and Abdul Halim Bin Hj Mohamed, Senior Narcotics Officer from Narcotics Control Bureau.
The forum aims to discuss on the theme of the campaign, which is the importance of respecting diversity and the impact it can bring to the society through social cohesion and continuous support. With 150 of participants attending comprises of government and non-government agencies, staffs and the public, it is hoped that the forum has shared insightful messages to the community on the importance of building resilience through connectivity, a cohesive and diverse community by joint social effort and action to serve the community better.
