World Social Work Day (WSWD) is a key day in the year that social workers worldwide stand together to advance common message globally. With this year’s theme of Respecting Diversity Through Joint Social Action, the campaign highlights the importance of diversity and working together while celebrating our differences.
This morning, PJSC Medical Social Work Department held a World Social Work Day celebration at PJSC Lobby, Level 2. The event was launched by Dr Hj Mazrul Adimin Hj Awg Besar, PJC Executive Director followed by opening remarks by Siti Fairuz Abd Latiff, Chairperson of World Social Work Day 2023 Committee and Head of Medical Social Work (MSW) Department. A special video showcasing the campaign cause was shown, marking the launch of the occasion which then followed with presentation of certificate to event partner and exhibitors, tour of exhibition and vendors area and concluded with group photo session.
The event also features patients and family members of patients as vendors as a way of promoting their products and businesses to the public. The event was attended by PJSC senior management, staffs, exhibitors, and vendors.
