Profile
Dr Lu Shir Kiong joined TBCC in April 2016 as a Consultant in Medical Oncology.
He graduated from University of Birmingham, UK and obtained his MRCP (UK) in 2005. He completed 7 years of medical oncology training at the reputable Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust hospital, London. During this period, he also received his Specialty Certificate Examination (Medical Oncology) and MSc (Oncology). He spent over 2 years in cancer genomics research at the Imperial College, London and was awarded his MD (Res) in 2016 before returning to Brunei.
Dr Lu had participated as a sub-investigators in numerous phase 1-3 clinical trials involving novel targeted and immunotherapies. He continues to pursue his interest in research by collaborating with the medical and scientific team at the University of Brunei Darussalam. He had presented his works at several international conferences including American Society of Clinical Oncology, World Conference on Lung Cancer and European Cancer Congress.
