The celebration of International Nurses and Midwives Day 2024 was officiated earlier today with a religious event, “Majlis Ceramah Khas, Doa Kesyukuran dan Meraikan Saudara-Saudara Baru” held at the Lecture Theatre, PJSC. The event was organized in collaboration with PJSC Ibadah Friendly Hospital (IFH) Committee.

Gracing the event as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, and Chairman of PJSC. The event featured a talk delivered by Ustaz Isham Bin Ismail, titled “Kemuliaan Peranan Jururawat & Bidan Menurut Islam”, where the important roles and contributions of the nurses and midwives towards serving the communities were highlighted from an Islamic perspective.

The event then followed with Dikir Ashraqal Badru A’laina where nine newly converted Muslim staffs from PJSC and JPMC were celebrated with presentation of gifts and concluded with a cake cutting ceremony. The event served as an appreciation and recognition gesture towards the nurses and midwives for their compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to patient care.
