The Brunei Cancer Centre (TBCC) continues its awareness efforts by delivering a talk on Breast Cancer to Learning Tree School’s teachers and support staffs. The talk was organized by the Headmistress, Cikgu Kalsum Ahmad with the objective of equipping the teachers and support staffs with valuable knowledge on the common cancer in women.

In her talk titled “Cancer In Women: From Awareness To Action”, Dr Nur Sadrina Haji Marsidi, Senior Medical Officer emphasized on the importance of being aware of the signs and symptoms and taking immediate action once unusual changes are detected. She also emphasized about knowing risk factors and how to reduce the risk by having a balanced diet, exercise regularly, avoid smoking and alcohol and doing monthly breast self-examination.

The talk finished off with a quiz, where several teachers and support staffs in the audience won PJSC Breast Cancer merchandises and a Q&A session where the speaker had the opportunity to answer more inquiries from the audience.

PJSC is grateful for the opportunity of meeting and interacting with the energetic teachers and support staffs from Learning Tree School. Their enthusiasm in learning new knowledge was truly heartwarming.
