BNSRC celebrated its first graduate of the One-Year Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program in Neurocritical Care

Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC) through the Brunei Neuroscience Stroke and Rehabilitation Centre (BNSRC) celebrated its first graduate of the One-Year Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program in Neurocritical Care at a press conference held at PJSC on 18th May 2024.

The press conference was attended by:
– Dr. Hj Mazrul Adimin bin Haji Awang Besar, Executive Director of PJSC;
– Dr. Pg Siti Nur’ashikin Binti Pg Dato Paduka Haji Tengah, Director of BNSRC;
– Dr. Chidananda Swamy Muthugaduru Narappa, Course Director of the Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Neurocritical Care BNSRC and Head of Department / Consultant Intensivist of the Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NICU);
– Dr. V Bhadrinarayan, President of Indian Society of Neuroanaesthesiology and Critical Care (ISNACC);
– Dr. Girija Prasad Rath, Secretary of ISNACC;
– Dr. Nurulhuda binti A. Manap, recipient of the Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Neurocritical Care, PJSC

During the press conference, Dr. Nurulhuda shows her gratitude to PJSC and ISNACC for the opportunity to join the programme. “After eight years of service, I accepted this offer to progress in the field. It is an advanced training that not everybody can get the chance to join. It is something that I cherish, and will use this knowledge and experience to serve the people of Brunei Darussalam better in the future, and to share it with other doctors”.

The fellowship is accredited by the Indian Society of Neuroanaesthesiology and Critical Care (ISNACC), and targets candidates who have completed postgraduate training in anesthesiology, critical care, internal medicine, neurology, or neurosurgery. Upon completion of the program, candidates will undergo an exit exam conducted by ISNACC, receiving a Post-Doctoral Fellowship Certificate upon successful completion by the society.
