In partnership with Royal Brunei Airlines (RB), Brunei Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Centre (BNSRC) of PJSC organised a Stroke Awareness Talk as an ongoing initiative to educate the public on stroke. It is essential to highlight that 1 in 4 adults over the age of 25 is at risk for stroke during their lifetime. Thus this initiative aim to raise awareness and reduce the rate of stroke disease.

The RB audience were treated to an engaging talk on the topic, delivered by our esteemed Dr Sunil Upadhyaya, Consultant Neurosurgeon of BNSRC. During the talk, the audience learned that stroke is 90% preventable with the practice of good diet and a healthy lifestyle. They were also provided the opportunity to raise their concerns to Dr Sunil during the Q&A sessions and were tested on their knowledge during a Kahoot quiz. The awareness program ended with health consultation and blood pressure checks with the participating BNSRC’s healthcare professionals.
