On 12th January 2024, the Brunei Neuroscience Stroke and Rehabilitation Centre (BNSRC) held a Stroke Awareness Talk at the Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) auditorium in Anggerek Desa as an ongoing initiative to spread awareness on the disease.

Delivered by our esteemed Dr. Kaung Zaw Hein, Medical Officer in Brunei Neuroscience, Stroke and Rehabilitation Centre (BNSRC), the audience from multiple agencies namely DARe, Dynamik Technologies and SHENA were educated on the different types, signs and symptoms of Stroke, as well as the various critical responsive actions (B.E.F.A.S.T) that can be done during and after impending Stroke attacks.

After the talk, audience members were then engaged in a questions and answers sessions, enlightening them of any relevant concerns. They also had the opportunity to assess their blood pressure with the attending healthcare professionals from PJSC.

We thank DARe for hosting the team and inviting the other attending agencies, and we hope that this initiative created a better understanding on stroke and the life-saving measures that are available.
