Halaqah Muslimah International Brunei Darussalam Group recently visited Early Detection and Cancer Prevention Services (EDCPS) on Wednesday, 29th November 2023. The visit aims to learn more about women cancers and the services offered at EDCPS.

The group visit was received by Datin Dr Hjh Noraslinah Hj Ramlee, Head of EDCPS who also delivered a brief introduction to the unit and an awareness talk on women cancer. In her talk, Datin Dr Hjh Noraslinah emphasized on being aware on any occurring unusual and persistent changes and the importance of taking action by doing cancer screening. Dr Raden Mas Jeffri Raden Mas Ismail, Consultant Medical Oncologist and Dr Nur Sadrina Hj Marsidi, Senior Medical Officer were also present during the talk.

Members of Halaqah Muslimah International Group had the opportunity to learn breast self-examination demonstration and participated in a Kahoot quiz. The group members radiated enthusiasm throughout the visit thus filling the atmosphere with warmth and joy. The visit ended with a closing remark from the group representative, Pengiran Datin Paduka Hjh Hairani Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar, thanking EDCPS for their hospitality and knowledge shared.
