Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Md Isham Bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health presented copies of the Brunei Darussalam Multisectoral Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (BruMAP-NCD) 2021-2025. Present to receive the copies were, Dr Haji Mazrul Adimin Bin Haji Awang Besar, Executive Director of PJSC and Dr Pg Siti Nur’ashikin Binti Pg Dato Paduka Hj Tengah, Director of BNSRC. The event was held on Wednesday, 30th March 2022 at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex.
PJSC is very much involved in fighting Non-Communicable Diseases in Brunei alongside the Ministry of Health and other organization as a whole of nation approach is needed to ensure that Bruneians are actively participating in making changes towards a healthier lifestyle. With the launching of the BruMAP-NCD, updated objectives, goals and actionable steps have been laid out for all organizations including PJSC to follow. PJSC have been the focal for cancer treatment, early detection and cancer prevention, as well as treatment of stroke and have contributed towards achieving the targets set in the BruMAP-NCD.
